" My project’s inspiration developed from the current trend of eco-celebrities - stars like Gwyneth Paltrow, Kirsten Dunst, Natalie Portman and George Clooney turning up for Oscars in Toyota Priuses. They proclaim we should look after our earth, yet continue to display their need for the glamour of Hollywood and fashion.
" This conflict demonstrates the feelings that much of the population have; they want sustainability for the future, but don’t want to give up their luxuries. This leads to an opportunity for a product that is socially responsible through its interpretation of current lifestyles and therefore complements users in both their needs and aspirations, creating a more compelling design.
" The modern couple is developing in popularity, with increased emphasis on career over family. They have a greater element of independence within the relationship, which heralded the opportunity to consider urban congestion, materials and energy usage to inspire the creation of an aspirational vehicle, that splits its resources to create two modular city cars. "
