Royal College of Art Vehicle Design Show 2008
The Vehicle Design course at the RCA is possibly the most reknowned course of its type and is very much geared to seeing vehicle design in terms of future possibilities, not simply what is expected today. Those studying the course are expected to consider accessibility, aerodynamics, environmental impact, ergonomics, legislation, materials, production, safety, and technology, as well as the aesthetic principles of vehicle design. Students are expected to pursue, debate and prioritise these issues as individual designers through projects and studies following three pathways: Urban Flow, Inside Out and Automark.
