"Semiotician Roland Barthes stated that “…not only words and images, but also objects themselves could function as signifiers in the production of meaning.” In my design work, I try to explore new ways to signify meaning through the forms of the product. I am interested in how connotations in design can be used to produce associative, expressive, attitudinal and evaluative alternatives of meaning. Design can be a kind of conduit through which meaning can be poured in its movement from the cultural world to consumer products."
