"The practical design and quality of even the most affordable cars is so good today that we need another way to differentiate between products. I believe that the intangible areas of design – human, emotional and irrational – must now be expanded upon. My time at the Royal College of Art has been an opportunity to explore this.
I feel that emotion and romance in design is of extreme importance, and I approach every project with this in mind. In my view, an emotional attachment between user and product is as important as a good sense of practical design (which, of course, is also essential)."
